Local legislation with regards to the disposal of plastic parts are unclear, uncertain and even vary locally within countries. Ban on single-use plastic parts
As per July 2021 single-use plastic items made from conventional plastics and from bioplastics made from chemically modified polymers are banned according to the guideline (EU) 2019/904.
Plastic taxes
A plastic tax of 0.80 Euro per Kilo on any non-recycled petrol-based plastics has been introduced in 2021. The “contribution” to the EU budget is designed to incentivize member states to increase recycling of plastic waste, according to the European Commission.
Ban on plastic waste exports
More and more countries worldwide do no longer allow the import and/or export of plastic waste
New EU rules came into force on 1 January, prohibiting the shipment of unsorted plastic waste to foreign countries.
